About Me
Christian Maher, LMT
I’m Christian Maher, a licensed massage therapist and owner of Four Paws Massage in Beaverton, Oregon. The name comes from home — my wife and I have four cats, and it felt right to build something that reflected what actually matters to us.
I got into massage because I’ve always learned with my hands. I spent years getting monthly massages myself, and eventually I wanted to be on the other side helping people feel better, move better, and perform better in whatever their life looks like. More than a few people have told me my approach feels intuitive, and I think that comes from actually listening more than following a script.
My wife and I moved to Beaverton from Denver in early 2024 for a fresh start. She encouraged me to go out on my own and do what I love. I opened Four Paws at the end of 2024 — and every session since has been built around that same idea.
Outside the table I’m pretty simple — I travel with my wife, spend time with our cats, stay active, read, and follow sports.

My Method
Most sessions follow the same pattern — someone comes in with a specific problem and leaves feeling like their whole body got worked on instead of what they actually needed. I built Four Paws around a different idea.
You tell me what you came in for. That’s what we focus on. We’ll spend most of the session on that area and the surrounding muscles — and sometimes you’ll notice other areas needed attention too. But we’re not doing a full body sweep when your neck is what brought you in.
I also match you. Some people want to talk the whole time; some want complete silence — I follow your energy. What stays consistent is that I’m always listening, always adjusting, and by the time you get off the table you should feel like that specific thing you came in for actually got addressed.
